Date of registration: Association of Right Protecting Organizers of Student in Ukraine has been registered in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on 4 September, 2000, Certificate No.1496.
Date of establishment: 11 June, 1996, in capacity of Association of trade-union organizations comprising the structures functioning almost half a century. The Association is successor of the Heads of Trade Unions of Students of Higher Institutions Board and incorporates the trade unions of two hundred ninety nine higher institutions with I-IV accreditation levels and different forms of ownership. Total amount of the Association’s members comes up to 694.9 thousand of students. The Association incorporates fraternities of trade unions of education, health care, railway transport, communications, civil aviation, agricultural sector, and others. The Association has its agencies in 25 regional centers of Ukraine, as well as in the cities of Kyiv and Kryvyy Rig.
The objective of the Association is meeting and protection of lawful social, economic, creative, age-related, national and cultural, sporting, educational and scientific interests of its members.
Main tasks of the Association:
- co-ordination of students trade union movement;
- representation and protection of its members’ interests in regard to interrelationship with public authorities and agencies of local self-government;
- assistance in meeting the requirements of its members in the field of everyday life, health promotion, leisure, realization of creative potential;
- contribution to activities of public authorities and social organizations concerning the preparation and implementation of arrangements related to state youth policy in regard to studentship.
